Look@Tejo – Rooftop Ap is a charming and cozy space, perfect for two people, located in the heart of Alfama. With stunning views over the Tagus River, it offers a magical and unique atmosphere in one of Lisbon’s oldest and most historic neighborhoods.

Here, you’ll experience the true essence of Lisbon — within walking distance of iconic monuments, trendy spots, restaurants, and lively bars.

Highly recommended: end your day with a glass of wine on the balcony, soaking in the view of the Tagus.

A bright, charming studio located in the iconic and traditional neighborhood of Alfama. Known for its narrow streets and small buildings where neighbors still chat from window to window, Alfama has the feel of a close-knit village in the heart of the city. It’s a true Lisbon community — and you’ll surely feel welcomed and at home.

The studio features a double bed on a mezzanine level. As it was once an attic, please note that the ceilings have steep slopes, adding character but requiring a bit of care when moving around.

- Check-in / Checkout time -
We are flexible about check-in and checkout time, depending on other guests leaving or arriving time. Nevertheless, the regular check-in time is at 15:00 and regular checkout time is at 11:00.

- Self Check-in -
For your comfort, we have self check-in. So, you can arrive at any time after 15:00. Before, please ask us.

- Building -
The studio is located on the top floor of a traditional Lisbon building with no elevator, so you'll need to climb four flights of stairs to reach our magnificent view. This is typical of Pombaline architecture — a historic construction style that doesn’t allow for elevator installation.

The street is pedestrian-only, making it a calm and welcoming place to stay.

Neighbourhood

You’re in Alfama — Lisbon’s oldest and most picturesque neighborhood. It’s a maze of narrow streets, traditional façades, and authentic fado music.

The apartment is just around the corner from the iconic Tram 28 and the Portas do Sol viewpoint. You’ll be surrounded by local cafés, artisan shops, and a truly Lisbon atmosphere.

Transport

We always recommend that our guests explore the city on foot, both to access the apartment and to enjoy Lisbon’s charm at a leisurely pace. It's worth noting that Lisbon's historic neighborhoods were built across seven hills (one of only three European cities with this unique topography), so expect to encounter stairs, inclines, and descents along our iconic Portuguese cobblestone streets.

To reach the apartment, guests can take public transport to either Miradouro das Portas do Sol, Santa Apolónia, or Terreiro do Paço — but please note that there will always be a short walk involved from any of these points.

If you're carrying large suitcases, we recommend taking a taxi or ride service and setting the drop-off location as Largo do Terreiro do Trigo. From there, it's just a 2-minute walk up a staircase to the apartment.

If you're arriving by car, please be aware that the apartment’s street is pedestrian-only. Let us know in advance, and we’ll be happy to share tips for nearby access. Note that paid parking is enforced throughout Lisbon.
